Innovation Impact Series

Designed and delivered by the Innovation Office, the Innovation Impact Series is a tailored training framework for University of Galway staff and postgraduate research students from all disciplines.

Participants receive practical tools, expert insights, and collaborative opportunities to accelerate research impact through knowledge transfer and commercialisation.

The series has three interconnected components - Impact Activator, Impact Accelerator and Impact Start-up.

Impact Activator

Master the Foundations

Build your innovation skills from the ground up – from generating ideas to validating them, and mapping out your pathway to impact.

  • Live, expert-led sessions each week
  • Semester 2 (2 hours per week)

Impact Accelerator

Navigate Your Project’s Commercial Journey

Take your research or innovation from concept to market with the guidance of experienced coaches, mentors, and industry experts.

  • Commercial roadmap development
  • Pitch-ready communications strategy

Position Your Start-Up for Investment & Launch

Get your start-up investor-ready and primed for market success, with targeted mentoring, coaching, and investor connections.

  • Market, technical, quality, and clinical validation completion
  • Investor-ready proposition: data room, financials, and business plan
