Anne Daly

Anne is a member of the Public Advisory Panel for Public and Patient Involvement (PPI Ignite @NUI Galway) and a HRB Public Reviewer. Following a career in Quality Systems, Anne changed direction and is now a self-employed Nutritional Therapist specialising in Diabetes. This fulfilled a lifelong dream of giving something back after living with Type 1 Diabetes for over 50 years. She has a strong interest in health research and believes that those living with chronic conditions and those coming after us, who will have similar or different health conditions, depend on health research to enable us to live healthy lives. She wants to ensure that the voice of the patient and public shapes and influences health and social care research. Anne is an active PPI contributor and draws on her life experience to bring the voice of the public/patient to health research and takes part in events to promote Public and Patient involvement in Research.
