One Excellence Scholarship of €40,000 (€10k per year over 4 years) and 2 X €20,000 Merit Scholarships (€5k per year over 4 years) for Outside of the EU students in the following programmes:

One Excellence Scholarship of €40,000 (€10k per year over 4 years) and €8,000 Merit Scholarships (€2k per year over 4 years) for Outside of the EU students in each of the following programmes:
* Excellence scholarships must meet the equivalency of 550-600 points in the Irish Leaving Cert as outlined here.

€10,000 Excellence Scholarships to any Outside of the EU candidate deemed to meet equivalency to a 1st class honours level 8 degree as outlined here in the following programmes. €2,000 Merit Scholarships for all other applicable Outside of the EU students in the following programmes:
Terms and Conditions
All students must accept their offer and pay their deposit to avail of their postgraduate merit and postgraduate excellence scholarships.
All eligible candidates who accept their offer and have paid their deposit by Thursday 1 May, 2025, will be automatically considered. (with one exception*)
*Computer Science candidates who have applied in the calendar year of 2024 have a Monday, 17 of March deadline.
By accepting an excellence scholarship you will be included in our panel of international student ambassadors, and will be required to participate in marketing activities such as providing testimonials/creating content of your University of Galway experience, participating in informational webinars, welcoming delegations of visits from your home country to the campus, and engaging with prospective students on the ambassador platform.
You'll be automatically considered for merit scholarships by completing the programme application below.
