Dr. Aideen O Doherty, B.Sc., Ph.D. Head of Programmes, HRB-Clinical Research Facility Galway and Institute for Clinical Trials

 A B.Sc. Biotechnology graduate, Aideen completed a Ph.D. (QUB) and postdoctoral research (UCL, London) in molecular genetics. She subsequently returned to her alma mater University of Galway to work with Regenerative Medicine Institute, Molecular Medicine Ireland and the then newly founded Clinical Research Facility Galway. Her current role as Head of Programmes with the HRB-Clinical Research Facility Galway and Institute for Clinical Trials involves supporting local, national and international researchers in the safe and effective conduct of clinical research. Aideen’s foundation in medical science drives her passion to collaborate and strategise on optimal ways to build, underpin and successfully deliver clinical trial programmes with international impact.
