Dr Linda Biesty

Dr Linda Biesty contributes extensive experience and leadership in evidence-based healthcare as an Associate Professor in Midwifery and a member of the Centre for Health Research Methodology (CHRM). She is Deputy Director of Evidence Synthesis Ireland (ESI) and Cochrane Ireland and sits on the Executive Management Committees of ESI and the HRB-Trials Research Methodology Network (HRB-TMRN). She is also the Co-Lead of the Qualitative Evidence strand of ESI and a Teaching Faculty Member of ESI and Cochrane Ireland. Linda is also a Research Advisor with the Qualitative Research in Trials Centre (QUESTS) and a Research Associate with the HRB-TMRN.

Linda's portfolio spans both ESI and the HRB-TMRN where she is engaged with leading and providing qualitative expertise and support across several programmes of research. While passionate about all her CHRM activities, Linda has a particular grĂ¡ for public engagement activities including understanding how we support people, especially children, in evaluating health claims, and comprehending clinical trials and evidence synthesis.

Linda contributes to our Advancing Health Equity through Evidence Based Practice and Art and Science of Evidence-Based Healthcare: Searching, Synthesising and Appraising Evidence modules.
