English Language Centre Pre-Sessional Courses 2024
The English Language Centre at University of Galway offers a offers a variety of pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses. These courses, available both online and in person, are designed to prepare you for the language and specific skills required for a successful transition into your chosen programme.
The 10- and 7-week courses are geared towards students with a conditional offer that includes a language requirement, while the 4-week course is ideal for firm offer holders who need to prepare linguistically and academically for their studies.
Wanqi Chen is from China and attended the 4-Week Pre-Sessional EAP Programme before commencing her MSc Information Systems Management at University of Galway.

Participants have the option of staying in our newest campus residences, Goldcrest Village and Dunlin Village, for the duration of the course. This will provide you with the benefit of living on campus, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the programme. It will also give you a base to look for longer-term accommodation. Another huge bonus is you will get to soak up the exciting festival atmosphere of Galway in the summer.
