Representing the GNC outreach team, Prof. John Kelly and Dr Ciara Egan attended the Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, held in the RDS, Dublin, on 9th January 2026.

Throughout the day, they engaged enthusiastically with a wide range of visitors, including second level students, teachers, and members of the general public, who stopped by the neuroscience display stand to learn more about the brain and brain research.

The stand featured a variety of interactive and educational resources, including detailed brain models, Corsi block tasks to demonstrate aspects of memory and cognition, and a selection of neuroscience information handouts designed to be accessible and engaging for all ages. Visitors were encouraged to ask questions and take part in hands-on activities, helping to spark curiosity and discussion around neuroscience and scientific research. To add to the lively atmosphere, brain-themed hats and GNC stickers were distributed to attendees, proving particularly popular with younger visitors.

Overall, the event provided a valuable opportunity to promote neuroscience outreach in an informal setting and was both an educational and enjoyable day for everyone involved.
