The School of Medicine Research Committee actively engages in the execution of the School's Research Strategy, thereby facilitating the advancement of research initiatives within the School of Medicine (SoM). This includes:

  • Actively participating in the execution and advancement of the overarching research objectives outlined in the School's Research Strategy.
  • Serve as a representative voice for research personnel, ensuring their perspectives, concerns, and requests are adequately communicated and addressed.
  • Effectively communicate pertinent information and updates regarding research initiatives, policies, and opportunities to research staff within the SoM.

Undergraduate Research Programme (UGR)

Our Undergraduate Research Programme is a well-established summer research programme, open for application to undergraduate medical students. It offers the chance to engage in hands-on research projects with Principal Investigators from a wide range of medical fields, from basic sciences to clinical research. Participants develop practical research skills, critical thinking, teamwork, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the research topic.
