Irish Brain Bee Competition 2025

The Irish Brain Bee competition took place on the 10th March. The Brain Bee is an international competition, which originated in the USA and has spread around the world. This was the fourth occasion that it took place in Ireland. The Brain Bee was conducted virtually, and had 64 participants who were largely transition year students from Presentation College in Headford, Salerno Galway, Colaiste Einde in Galway, and Terenure College, Dublin. It consisted of three rounds of questions drawn from a Neuroscience textbook that the students had been studying since January. The winner of the competition was Annah Percy from Presentation College who it is hoped will go forward to represent Ireland at the International Brain Bee World Championships to be held later this year.
