Mengqi Li

Mengqi Li is a PhD researcher at the University of Galway, supported by the HRB-TMRN and Irish Cancer Society. Her research is centred on the 'Informed Health Choices-Cancer (IHC-Cancer)' programme, which aims to empowers people impacted by cancer with the knowledge and skills necessary to think critically about the reliability of health information and claims and make well-informed choices. 

She holds a strong research background in nutrition-related challenges among older adults, including the study of anorexia of ageing. This experience provides her with a comprehensive understanding of health issues across different life stages, enriching her current work in cancer health literacy. 

She is supervised by Prof. Declan Devane and Dr Marie Tierney.
