Michelle is CNM 3 for Critical Care Research at the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, RCSI, where she has led the Critical Care and Anaesthesia Research Team since 2022. She holds a BSc (Hons) in General Nursing from Dublin City University (2009), having completed her clinical training at Beaumont Hospital.
With over nine years of experience in critical care, including neurointensive care, Michelle brings extensive clinical and research expertise to her role. She has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care, a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Leadership from RCSI, and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Trials from University College Dublin.
Michelle previously worked as a clinical research nurse with the HRB Irish Critical Care Clinical Trials Network and has contributed to numerous international clinical trials. She currently serves as the Principal Investigator for the Irish Research Nurses and Midwives Network on a HRB-funded project investigating the roles and competencies of research nurses and midwives in Ireland.
