Ms Oonagh Ward, Head of Research and Innovation Infrastructures, Health Research Board (HRB)
Oonagh Ward is currently leading the Research and Innovation Infrastructures unit at the Health Research Board (HRB). This unit, established in January 2021, has responsibility for the management and evaluation of HRB’s investments in clinical trials and associated infrastructures. It also supports exploring opportunities and interfaces for current and future investments in health data, genomic research and personalised medicine.
Since joining the HRB in 2007 she has developed and managed a variety of policies, funding initiatives and joint-funding ventures. Currently Vice Chair of the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN) Assembly of Members, and active member of ICPerMed, ERA4Health Partnership, Rare Diseases Partnership (ERDERA), National Cancer Research Group and the All-Island Cancer Consortium Implementation Group.
