Ronan is the Global New Product Development Portfolio Lead for Medtronic’s Coronary & Hypertension business. He also spearheads New Product Development for Medtronic Ireland’s Leadership team. In addition to his role at Medtronic, Ronan serves as Chair of the Irish Medtech Association RDI Working Group and was a co-lead for Medtronic Ireland’s Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Engagement Initiative from 2021 to 2022. Currently, he is the executive sponsor for Medtronic Ireland’s Pride and STEM Employee Resource Groups.

Ronan has also contributed to the broader industry landscape as Vice-Chair of IBEC’s Medtech and Engineering Leadership Development Taskforce in 2021 and 2022. His extensive experience includes leading Medtronic’s Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Engagement Initiative for the Coronary and Structural Heart business Division from 2018 to 2019. With over 20 years at Medtronic, Ronan has been instrumental in New Product Development across various cardiovascular domains, including Coronary, Hypertension, Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure, Peripheral Vascular, and Structural Heart products.

Ronan's academic background includes a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering Science, both from NUI Galway, where he spent six years honing his expertise.
