Dr Eimear Dolan

Dr Eimear Dolan established her research group in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Galway in 2019. She is a Royal Society Science Foundation Ireland University Research Fellow and an Irish Research Council Starting Laureate. 

Her group is focused on fundamental and translational research in innovative medical implants. They are designing implants to improve outcomes for ovarian cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. They are interested in understanding and modulating the foreign body response. They work closely with clinicians and industry to ensure a translational focus to their work.

She is an academic co-founder of University of Galway pipeline spin-out company Fada Medical and a mentor on the BioInnovate Program.
